Welcome!

MISSION STATEMENT
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

MASON COUNTY
Mason County is on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula and situated on the shores of Puget Sound and Hood Canal.

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Our mission is to build simple, decent, affordable communities in partnership with all God's people.

Founded in 1996, HFHMC has built 10 homes in the Mason County area by challenging individuals, congregations, businesses and other organizations to lend a hand up, not a hand out to those in need of better housing.

Our goal is to end substandard housing. We accomplish this by building houses with donated funds and volunteer labor. We sell the homes at our cost with no-interest mortgages to families who are qualified for the program and who have earned or completed their sweat equity. Principle payments are used to build more homes.

MASON COUNTY REACHES FAR AND WIDE

As part of Habitat for Humanity International, we tithe ten percent of our donations to build homes in countries we have designated. In addition to the ten homes we have built in Mason County, our tithes have build five homes in Mexico and Haiti.

Take a tour of our web site and learn how you might join with us to combat substandard housing.

"With Habitat we build more than just houses. We build families, communities and hope."
