Habitat for Humanity of Mason County partners with low-income individuals and the community to build affordable quality housing. We provide a "hand-UP” through tools, guidance, and support for partner homeowners.

The three principle criteria for our home ownership program are:

a need for simple, decent housing
ability to pay a no-profit, no-interest or low-interest USDA mortgage
willingness to be an active partner with Habitat

Partner home-owners are required to perform hundreds of Sweat Equity hours; complete education on budgeting, legal affairs, and home maintenance; work with a housing counselor to improve your credit; and successfully pay debts, closing costs, and monthly mortgage payments.

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County does not provide free housing. It is not a federal government program or a transitional housing provider.
