Shelton Habitat Hosts Upcycled! Block Party

On June 24, 2017 Habitat for Humanity of Mason County hosted an Upcycle! Block

Party. We had live music, raffles, games for kids, food trucks, and tons of information

on how to upcycle!

Upcycling is when you take something old and use it to make something completely different and new. It’s a great way to learn how to reuse resources. Demonstrations were held throughout the day. A raffle was held that a lucky family won, for a newly constructed garden shed and a backyard playhouse. At the party, we had a host of other fun raffle prizes as well! We also had booths for local non-profits and area agencies. Jake, the Mason County Sheriff dog, even made an appearance! It was a great day, and all those who came had a wonderful time!
