Virtual Blessings for House #33 and the Smith Family

Even though we must stay apart, we are still building together.

We thought we were going to have a big, joyous house blessing event. We imagined pastors giving blessings, neighbors singing songs, and a nice opportunity for some fellowship with our supporters and our 2020 partner family, the Smith’s.

Then the world came to a grinding halt. You know the story, we're all in it together.

So we decided to get creative. Instead of inviting people to the build site, we are asking you to reach out to us virtually.

Please share words of encouragement, a favorite bible verse, or other well wishes for the Smith Family and we here at Habitat for Humanity of Mason County will write the virtual blessings on the framing of the home to surround the family with love and support from our community.

So please, take a moment and share well wishes for the Smith Family and our project. Email them to our volunteer outreach coordinator rachelg@habitatmasonwa.org , and she will make sure they make it on to the studs. You can share your name if you'd like, or remain anonymous.

Even though we can't be together in the ways we'd like to right now, the Smith’s and their children will get to see your words and feel your support. We hope this gives them strength and keeps their energy renewed for the months of work ahead.
