Give the Gift of Home

Every Donation Matters

When Habitat homeowners partner with us, they start down a new path — one with far fewer barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. We have an open-door policy and welcome volunteers and potential partner families regardless of race, religion, gender, political views, or any other distinctions. Donors make our work possible, by opening the door to affordable homeownership and preservation in Mason County.

Your gifts offer stability and self-reliance for families in need of a stable, safe and affordable place to call home. Your generosity helps individuals and families build their own bright futures. Together, we build strong communities.

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County shall make every effort to use funds as designated; nevertheless, under the director of the board of Directors, Mason County Habitat retains complete control over the use and distribution of donated funds in furtherance of its mission

There are many ways to give. Explore the menu below to find the right avenue for you.

Gifts of Stock

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds is a meaningful way to support Habitat for Humanity of Mason County while potentially receiving valuable tax benefits. A gift of securities can often provide a greater impact than a cash donation because you may avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated assets and, in many cases, receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift. Gifts of stock and other securities help Habitat for Humanity of Mason County continue building affordable housing opportunities, preserving homes, and strengthening communities throughout Mason County. Stocks that have increased significantly in value and have been held for more than one year are often ideal assets for charitable giving. Every donor's financial situation is unique, so we encourage you to consult your financial advisor or tax professional regarding the specific benefits of making a gift of securities. To initiate a stock transfer or to receive transfer instructions, please contact our office at 360-426-8134. We would be happy to assist you and ensure your gift is directed to support our mission.
